Japanese Style Apron
This apron was my first full scale repurposing a garment into base fabric, and it was surprisingly simple to complete. I was inspired by a tutorial that popped up in my Pinterest feed and ended up constructing it merely from the photos. My adaptation was to use the fabric from a thrifted linen skirt and a pair of linen pants I haven't worn in at lease two years. Just the process of taking these items apart was satisfying and I dare saw a little exhilarating as I did not know exactly how the pieces would fit together. But the nature of that process made the outcome all the more gratifying.
